HEALED OF HENOCH-SCHONLEIN PURPURA VIRUS ATTACK

My name is Lai Jin Moi (a nurse). I am from First Baptist Church Kuching. My grandson Theodoric was diagnosed with Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) on the 23rd of May, 2014. HSP is a virus that normally attacks the skin. It started with rashes from the foot that spread up to the buttock. He also experienced abdominal pain because the virus attacked his intestines. It also attacks the kidneys.

Since the diagnosis, my grandson was experiencing abdominal pain on and off throughout the day. He was not able to sleep well, he only slept 2-3 hours a day and he was always groaning in pain. He was admitted to the General Hospital three times because he was not able to eat or drink for almost 2 weeks, so he had to be put on a drip. , There is no specific treatment for HSP. The doctors decided on a conservative treatment. They prescribed painkillers and put him on a drip. After his discharge, his condition did not improve, sometimes the pain came back again. Each time he experienced the pain, he became violent and very irritable. Because he was not eating, he became very thin, and very weak. We felt so hopeless, so heartbroken to see him in that condition.

On the 4th of June 2014, we knew that Pastor Peter was coming with sister Ruth to our church for a healing ministry. That night, we brought our grandson to our church, the First Baptist Church in Kuching. During the worship, Pastor Peter received a word of knowledge that there was someone who was having abdominal pain. We responded to the word of knowledge and brought , our grandson to Pastor Peter for prayer. Pastor Peter asked our church elders, church pastor and elders to pray over my grandson. After the prayer, we went back home. On arriving home at around 9:30 pm, my grandson saw the bananas on the table. He immediately grabbed two bananas and he ate them that night. Because he had not been eating for the past two weeks, we were so happy to see him eating and enjoying the bananas.

Then he went to sleep and he was able to sleep until 4am without pain. At 4am, he complained about a little bit of pain but he could tolerate the pain. His father brought him out for breakfast and he ate one plate of chicken rice. After that, he asked for pizza. I thank God for healing him. Since then, his appetite has been very good and it became even better than before he was sick. He has become very active, he is more cheerful, more joyful and he has gone back to praise dance which was his normal daily routine before he became sick. I want to give thanks to God for healing our grandson. We give thanks to God for sending his servant Pastor Peter and sister Ruth here and for their healing ministry which led to our grandson’s healing. We thank God and give glory to God.
